Network: Killer Wireless-n/a/ac 1535 Wireless Network Adapter Network: Killer E2400 Gigabit Ethernet Controller I'd rather wait for someone who actually knows about this to comment, before I try things on my own. NOTE: I have downloaded the latest EC Firmware and Intel Management Driver from the product download page, but I have not installed them yet. If I need to add any more information, please tell me (this is my very first forum post, so please accept my apologies in advance). I've included my system information below. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this situation, because this has been bugging me for a while now. This is very painful, especially when I'm spotting footage for an editing project when I'm on the road. I can no longer take my laptop anywhere without having to plug it in. Some people are saying it could be a bug, but I'm completely lost at this point. I honestly have no idea if my issue has something to do with Windows 10 or with my laptop. I thought this could have been the problem, but after hours and hours of searching through forums I still haven't found a solution or any clear evidence. It doesn't decrease at unusual speeds and I also ran the Battery Calibration Tool several weeks ago.Įver since the forced Windows 10 Fall Creators Update was released I've been having this issue. The battery life (as indicated by MSI Dragon Gaming Center) seems to be fine. at 62% battery), grab a cup of coffee and when I get back the laptop has shut down.Īt first I'd get a low battery notification (and it would shut down before I got a chance to plug it in) but now it doesn't give me any notification (even when set to 40 or 50%). It even happens when I have no programs or games running. It usually happens somewhere between 30 and 70% and doesn't happen at all when it's plugged in. When I unplug the charger my laptop randomly shuts down with a 'pop' sound after several minutes. I bought my MSI GT72S 6QE Dominator Pro G laptop just over 2 years ago and I've never encountered any problems, until recently.
